About Kalpesh Desai
Kalpesh Desai is the President & CEO of Agile Financial Technologies, a specialist insurance technology company supporting insurers across more than 35 countries.
With more than three decades of experience building and scaling technology businesses across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and other emerging markets, Kalpesh has led enterprise software organizations serving the insurance, investment management and financial services sectors. His career spans entrepreneurship, global business leadership, product strategy and go-to-market execution.
Under his leadership, Agile Financial Technologies has evolved into a focused insurance technology company helping insurers run, grow and govern their businesses through a connected portfolio of modern insurance platforms, including Agilis Core Insurance Suite, Agilis Ubiquity, Agilis BancAssurance and Agilis DecisionGuard.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Kalpesh serves as an Advisor to the Board of a leading hypermarket retail group in West Africa and is a Non-Executive Director of SunGlobal Investments Middle East Limited, a DIFC-regulated investment firm. These roles provide him with a broad perspective on corporate governance, growth strategy, operational excellence and investment management.
A recognised industry leader, Kalpesh has successfully built and exited technology ventures, led international expansion initiatives across multiple continents, and worked closely with insurers, regulators and financial institutions on digital transformation, governance and operational excellence.
He is also a published author, mentor and advocate of servant leadership, with a passion for helping organizations unlock sustainable growth through clarity, discipline and execution.
